She stayed there for a year, and then joined WCMH-TV, making regular appearances as the weather forecast reporter. During the same time, she also worked in WTVC-TV NewsChannel9 from 2008 to 2010, doing the daily forecasts while also working as a producer. The following year, she moved to Tennessee to work for WKRN, then in 2012 she became a meteorologist for Atlanta’s WXIA-TV, and served in that capacity for the next three years.

In 2015, Allison was recruited by one of the world’s most successful news networks in CNN, where she continues to work The network was founded in 1980, and was the first television channel to provide 24 hour news coverage, also becoming the first all-news television channel in the United States. He then moved to hosting “Your Weather Today” until 2012, when it was relaunched as “Morning Rush”. Bettes has been known for his coverage of tornado seasons TWC calls as “The Great Tornado Hunt”. He does a lot of field reporting, and is the lead field meteorologist of the company. He was a co-host of “AMHQ: America’s Morning Headquarters”, and currently hosts “Weather Underground”. He has also accompanied scientists in the TWC coverage of VORTEX2 which is a study of tornadoes. He has also done live reports on high profile hurricanes, including Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy, plus other reports on floods, winter storms and tropical cyclones, in fact he’s travelled the country reporting severe weather in all its forms.

For her personal life, it is known that Allison married Mike in 2012 in a private ceremony attended by family along with close friends; they now have a child together born in 2015. She is not Mike’s first wife – he was previously married to NBC meteorologist Stephanie Abrams but they divorced without revealing a lot of information as to why they separated.
